Bio
Hi! My name is Margot and this is a bit about me!
I am a born and raised New Yorker with a passion for comedy writing and performing. I grew up playing classical piano, tap dancing, and actively avoiding attaining a driver's license. I went to the Fiorello H. Laguardia High School for Performing Arts with a major in drama, and then went to in NYU Tisch school of the Arts for my undergraduate degree. There, I earned a double degree in drama and dramatic writing (TV writing concentration).
Throughout my years at NYU, I discovered a passion for writing and performing comedy. I was the president of Dangerbox, NYU’s premier improv comedy group, and joined Hammerkatz, Tisch’s premier sketch group. I also created, direct, and perform in LaLaHaHa, a musical comedy group that performs monthly at NYC venues including Upright Citizens Brigade, Caveat, The PIT, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and more. I have written plays, TV pilot episodes, and comedic sketches throughout my time at the dramatic writing program and performed my scripts through staged and unstaged readings at Tisch.
My experience in running various comedy groups has led to a strong interest and passion for the developmental and producing career paths within the arts industry.
You can catch me in monthly performances with LALAHAHA (musical sketch comedy) and Toyboat (long-form improv team). You can see further details and ticket links under the “current projects” page.
